What to Expect
Yes, this is completely normal. A full day of physical and mental stimulation will usually tire even the most energetic dogs. Playing, socializing, and participating in enrichment activities takes real energy, so a little extra sleep afterward is a good sign your dog had an active, engaging day.
It can, occasionally, just as it can in any group setting for kids or adults. We take this seriously and require current vaccinations along with bi-annual fecal exams for all dogs in our care to help minimize this risk and keep our Camp K9 community as healthy as possible.
We understand that unexpected situations come up, whether it's traffic, work running late, or inclement weather. If you know you'll be late, please call us as soon as possible so we can make arrangements for your dog.
Asking for a sit before going through the gate helps reinforce calm behavior and good manners, and it also gives our team a moment to safely manage the transition between spaces. It's a small habit that supports both safety and structure.
Yes, fresh water is always available throughout the day. Dogs who are active and playing often drink more once they settle down at home simply because they were busy having fun and may not have paused as often to drink while playing.
Cleanliness and sanitation are maintained daily throughout all play areas, suites, grooming spaces, and shared surfaces. We follow rigorous cleaning protocols to help support a healthy, hygienic environment for every dog in our care.
We ask that dogs remain calm and under control in the lobby and save greetings for our supervised play areas. This helps us maintain a safe, low-stress environment for all dogs and pet parents coming and going.
Safety
Yes. We maintain structured playgroups, closely monitor interactions, and our staff is PackPro certified and trained in Pet First Aid and CPR. Cleanliness and safety are a top priority in everything we do.
